If you are looking to lose weight and live in or near Bradford, we may be able to prescribe injectable, prescription medicine that is proven to be effective in helping adults reduce their excess weight. It helps those with weight related problems, or obesity to lose weight and keep it off! This can be extremely effective when used appropriately in conjunction with a healthier lifestyle.
The medication mimics the action of the body’s natural hormone (GLP-1) which regulates appetite and food intake. GLP-1 makes you feel full, hence your appetite is reduced.
It also delays the time it takes for the stomach to empty, keeping you feeling full and satisfied (sated) for longer.
Both of these actions lead to lower calorie intake and subsequent weight loss.
By reducing your appetite, the medication will help you keep to the calorie-controlled diet of your choice (e.g. Weight Watchers, Slimming World, Atkins, 5:2, or Keto etc) in order to easily achieve your weight loss goals.
Additionally, by losing weight you are reducing your risk of developing heart disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and more importantly, to help you feel happier and healthier.
A simple and painless injection is self-administered each day using an easy-to-use, dose-adjustable pen (see below) that is pre-filled with the medication.
My:Skyn is an all female run clinic. We speak both Urdu and Punjabi if you require.
